The Full-Day Early Learning–Kindergarten and part-day K-12 program
Segero Church, which has affiliation with the school, is located at a small cove around the Nak-dong River in Busan, South Korea. The church was established in 1953; and, 60 years later, Christianity has become deeply rooted among the local community and now over than 20,000 people became Christian in Busan area. The church has devoted and supported to the local society over 20 years. Additionally, the church established Jae-il Preschool and Segero Christian International School as a contribution to the local community.
SCIS was established in 2013. SCIS has set its own curriculum and programs specialized to age from 4 to 18. SCIS opened its doors to 30 local students in July. Now, two years later, more than two hundred students are enrolled per year. Additionally, SCIS has the largest private English kindergarten and K12-course school in Gangseogu, which is a local city of Busan.

SCIS mission statement
Segero Christian International School aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and carrying young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understands that people, with their differences, can also be right.
Students acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.
Students understand and appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, and are open to the perspectives, values and traditions of other individuals and communities. They are accustomed to seeking and evaluating a range of points of view, and are willing to grow from the experience.
Students understand the importance of intellectual, physical and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others.

Purposeful teaching highlights the significant relational value of teachers and children having resilient and meaningful connections with one another.
The school employs approximately 25 teachers, and 15 non-teaching staff. All teachers have university degrees or master degrees and a teaching qualification.
